The Goat is an exhilarating adventure run from Whakapapa to Turoa Ski Fields on the Round the Mountain track, traversing the western slopes of Mount Ruapehu.
The 20 kilometre (approx.) course has over 1,000 metres of vertical ascent and covers amazing terrain. Pass by stunning scenery ranging from ancient lava flows and scoria fields, mountain beech forest, tussock grasslands, and alpine herb fields to cascading waterfalls, an alpine lake, boulder-strewn rivers, and amazing panoramic views.This UNESCO Dual World Heritage Area; the Tongariro National Park is a magical place for trail runners and adventurers alike.

Ring of Fire events include the Ring of Fire 50km Ultra, Ring of Fire 73km Solo, Ring of Fire Relay.
Tussock Traverse events include 6km or 12km Run/Walk, 21km Run Walk, 32km Run Walk.
Sky Waka Vertical Challenge events include 4hr laps event, 400m dash event.

T42 Central Plateau events include 6km run/walk, 11km run/walk, 24km adventure run/walk, 42.2km marathon, 48km mountain bike.
