Rest assured, we are committed to the safety of all our guests, team, and visitors. We are committed to working with you to make any adjustments to your reservations, in line with the required NZ Government Covid-19 Protection Framework. If you cannot find the information you are looking for below, please click here for assistance. Our standard Terms and Conditions apply, except for the following changes:
All cancellations must be outside your standard cancellation period to receive your refund. If you have a non-refundable booking you will have 72 hours prior to check in to cancel to receive a refund. Last minute cancellations due to no vaccine passport will not receive a refund.

The team is 100% committed to maintaining the highest standards of service, hygiene and protection as required by the NZ Government Covid-19 Protection Framework. The team greatly appreciates your patience and compliance as we all adjust to the new operational requirements to keep each other safe.
COVID-19 VACCINATION CERTIFICATES ARE REQUIRED FOR GUESTS 12 YEARS +
FROM 2nd DECEMBER 2021
NO VACCINATION CERTIFICATE = NO STAY
As per NZ Government Policy for hospitality businesses, Skotel Alpine Resort will be required to operate a no vaccination certificate = no stay policy for all guests and visitors aged 12 years and over. This includes all visitors of guests.
The Reservation Holder is responsible to ensure the entire group in the booking is fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and can provide the NZ Government Approved Vaccination Certificate prior to their stay.
Children under the age of 12 at the time of their visit will not be required to show proof of vaccination. If you are unable to get a vaccination for medical reasons, you will also be required to show proof of your exemption.
In addition to the health and safety risks, we respectfully ask you to understand that non-compliance of NZ Government Covid Policy results in extensive fines for our business. Your honesty and co-operation will ensure that we can make the most of summer in the Tongariro National Park. This policy will be strictly enforced so please do not ask for exemptions – we cannot legally give them.
We acknowledge that not everyone wishes to be vaccinated against Covid-19. However, in order to properly operate, Skotel Alpine Resort is bound by NZ Government legislation. From 2nd December 2021 until such time that the NZ Government lifts the vaccination restrictions for hospitality providers, you will not be able to stay or attend an event, at Skotel Alpine Resort if you cannot provide proof of vaccination. If you do not provide this you will not be allowed access to Skotel Alpine Resort. No refunds will be given if there is a failure to comply.

During Your Stay | You may be requested by a member of the Skotel Alpine Resort team to verify your certificate when visiting the Restaurant or Bar areas.
IF YOU HAVE AN EXISTING BOOKING
Please see the list of safety measures we will have in place. We ask that you kindly comply with these guidelines. Masks will be available to purchase at reception.
DIGITAL VACCINATION CERTIFICATES | Will be required from 2nd December 2021 for all guests 12 years +. Apply for you certificate now on the My Covid Record website
CONTACTLESS CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT | We can arrange this for you prior to your arrival should you wish.
CONTACTLESS PAYMENT | We use paywave machines or online payment can be arranged prior to check in.
QR CODE SCANNING | Scanning the QR code and registering all guests, and visitors, on arrival is mandatory for contact tracing purposes.
SOCIAL DISTANCING | Please follow requests for social distancing and mask-wearing as determined by the alert levels throughout the duration of your stay.
HAND HYGIENE | Proper and frequent handwashing and the use of sanitisers will help combat the spread of any viruses. Please use the sanitisers provided.
GUEST ROOMS | We use cleaning and disinfecting protocols to clean rooms after guests depart and before the next guest arrives, with special attention paid to high-touch items and ventilating rooms.
SHARED SPACES | We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting our shared spaces, with a focus on the counter at the front desk, door handles, public bathrooms, kitchens, laundry, and room keys. We kindly ask you to consider your fellow Resort guests and our team by wearing a mask, maintaining social distance, using the sanitisers provided, disposing of all rubbish in the bins, and taking all your personal items with you.
RESTAURANTS & BAR | We will be operating under NZ Government regulations at all times.
BACK OF HOUSE | In the spaces where team members work “behind the scenes”, we are increasing the frequency of cleaning and focusing on high-touch areas.
WELLNESS | While we will do everything we can to ensure your stay with us is safe, we would kindly ask you to follow NZ Ministry of Health Guidelines and stay at home if:
· you are showing symptoms of COVID-19
· you are a close contact of someone with COVID-19
· you have visited a location of interest
· you have visited a Government COVID-19 MIQ within the last 14 days prior to your stay
